چکیده

Background: In recent years, there has been a growing interest in understanding the role of prognostic factors patient outcome.Aim: To investigate clinical indicators, and severity-of-disease assessment scales, as outcome multi-trauma patients ICU.Material Method: The sample consisted 65 ICU treated hospital Thessaloniki city, with an average stay 16.5 days. Clinical indicators such Glasgow Coma Scale, heart rate, mean arterial pressure, lactic acid, hemoglobin, urine output, well APACHE II SAPS were recorded on day admission to ICU.Data analysis: Data analyzed using multiple logistic regression Mann-Whitney Test. Multiple analysis was performed examine predictive capacity specific outcome. Results: results showed that cases where all changed, then may be affected by 79,4% (Relative Risk 3.846, p<0.001). Scale (p=0.022) hemoglobin (p=0.013) strongest influencing related outcome. used evaluate value Apache demonstrated both systems could significantly predict (APACHE II=0.019 II=0.013).Conclusion: Hemoglobin values upon appear strong

Prognostic factors in cancer patients in the intensive care unit

Intensive care has become important for the treatment of patients with cancer. However, the prognosis of these patients is considered poor a priori and decisions to admit a patient with cancer to the intensive care unit (ICU) are still source of controversy between oncologists and intensivists. The outcome of severely ill cancer patients does not depend solely on the causes that determine the a...

Risk Factors and Prognostic Factors of Acute Renal Failure in Patients Admitted to an Intensive Care Unit, Tehran-Iran

Acute renal failure (ARF) is defined as a sudden and continuous decrease of glomerular function associated with azotemia, and may be followed by decreased urinary output. There is a high incidence of ARF in ICU patients with a high mortality rate. Many factors can promote ARF development or influence its outcome. This study was done to assess the incidence, risk factors, outcome and treatme...

Design and Implementation of a Fuzzy Intelligent System for Predicting Mortality in Trauma Patients in the Intensive Care Unit

Introduction: The intensive care unit is one of the most costly parts of the national health sector. These costs are largely attributable to the length of stay in the intensive care unit. For this reason, there are significant benefits in predicting patients' length of stay and the percentage of deaths in intensive care units. Therefore, in this study, a fuzzy logic based intelligent system was...
